Manipal University College Malaysia has opened its admission for medical seats to students from India for the first time. Located in Melaka city, the university is 90 minutes from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Intakes

The university has two intakes in a year. one in April and the other in October. Admissions will open soon after the NEET results are published. Only 150 seats are available for Indian students and admissions will be based on first cum first- served basis. Students have to fill the application form and submit the scanned copy of academic documents to the university to receive a final decision on the application.


Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for five years is approximately 65 lakhs which will be paid in equal installments before the beginning of each semester.

The cost of living is very low in Malaysia. For the entire five-year duration the total expense would be roughly around 8 lakhs which makes Malaysia an excellent study destination.

Eligibility for Indian Students


To get admission to the Manipal university college, students from India must meet the eligibility criteria.

  1. score 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

  2. Qualify in the NEET exam. The score of NEET is not considered for admission

National Medical Council of India Approved university, which means the students passing out from the university can return to India and practice medicine. Of course, these students have to clear the NEXT ( National Exit Test) exam to get a license to practice in India. All MBBS students, irrespective of where they study will have to write the NEXT to become a qualified medical practitioner.


The tuition fee and living expenses are much cheaper and affordable in Malaysia compared to studying medicine in India or abroad unless you get a seat in the government medical colleges. Hostel facilities are available for students at Manipal University College, Melaka and there is a separate hostel for both boys and girls. The girls' hostel is within the campus and the boys' hostel is just a walkable distance from the sports complex.
